John has been immersed in athletics as far back as he can remember. He first came to California as a member of the Anaheim Jr. Ducks hockey team. After retiring as a player he co-founded the San Diego Samurai Roller Hockey Organization. Over a four-year period his teams achieved great success, winning a National Championship Title and a bronze medal at the AAU Jr. Olympics. For the past 12 years John has committed himself completely to child development through fitness. As founder of Lionheart Fitness Kids he has proven every aspect of the curriculum over a lifetime of experience.

John considers himself blessed to be given the opportunity to work with kids. He sees Coach Leo as an extension of Lionheart and the vehicle to empower children on a global scale.
